Time celebrates the historic new film A Wrinkle in Time with a stunning cover featuring iconic starring actresses Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon and newcomer Storm Reid.
Directed by Ava DuVernay the new film is headed by a diverse female-led team and may have the potential to change the film industry forever.
The accompanying Time article details the film's difficult 54-year journey to the big screen. “Women directors, we’re not getting people just saying, ‘Hey, let’s talk about this $100 million sci-fi epic,’” DuVernay told Time.
The plot stars main character Meg, who comes face to face with three celestial beings, played by Witherspoon, Winfrey and Kaling.
