The Twitter circuit pretty much exploded with a tonne of artists from across South Asia putting out their art. The hashtag #SouthAsianArtists made it easy to follow new artists, illustrators, graphic artists, and cartoonists. The trend also supports all South Asian artists and gives them a chance at getting more work and commissioned projects. The artists first introduce themselves and then put up their work along with the hashtag.

Pia Alize Hazarika, an illustrator who runs a comic studio named Pig Studio, says she remembers seeing a starter tweet two days before about kicking it off. "Help wise, it is just exposure and a little bit of community building. Inspiration wise, it's amazing!" Ask Pia what kind of art she's open to and she says that she's open to everything. "I mean, look at the range of talent that's coming out!" Pia feels that it has been a push getting brown kids into liberal arts vs medical/finance streams. "I was in tears. There's a lot of representation and recurring, 'oh my god you're like me' moments."
