The beauty company has roped in Elon Musk’s mother Maye Musk as their brand ambassador. Maye Musk has been a fashion model for 50 years and is 69 years old. Maye Musk took to her Instagram account to announce the news and was elated as she did so. Her headstrong character, resilience and confidence has been the talk of many households, The fashion industry and brands are waking up to the fact that beauty is not only related to young people but should cater to people of all ages.

Maye Musk took to her Instagram to share the happy news. She shared her picture and wrote, “I’m so excited to say that I’m now officially a COVERGIRL! My three kids, ten grandchildren and I have had the hardest time trying to keep it a secret until today’s big announcement. Who knew, after many years of admiring the gorgeous COVERGIRL models, that I would be one at 69 years of age? It just shows, never give up. Thank you COVERGIRL, for including me in your tribe of diversity. Beauty truly is for women of all ages, and I can’t wait to take you all along this amazing journey with me!”

Maye joins the ranks of 17-year-old James Charles, the first male CoverGirl, 24-year-old Nura Afia, the brand’s first hijabi ambassador, and as well as celebrities, Zendaya, Ellen DeGeneres, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift. 

Her son, Elon Musk is the CEO and CTO os SpaceX, co-founder, a Series A invester and product architect of Tesla.
