Following the viral video of her former flame Aadar Jain hinting at her as a ‘timepass’, the internet is yet again abuzz with Tara Sutaria. As netizens pour out their love and support for the actress, we take take a deep dive into her social media and find out what makes her so adored by her loyal followers, irrespective of her box office performance.
With Bollywood launching a star kid every other month, we, the audience, have almost reached a saturation point where debuts do not feel as exciting anymore. Tara’s acting debut, however, will always be fondly remembered by every 2000s kid. The stunner starred in the Disney Channel sitcom The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir in 2012, quickly making her way into our hearts with the role of Vinnie.
However, Tara’s expertise far exceeds acting. She actually began her career as a singer in 2010 on the Disney India reality show Big Bada Boom. Being a professional singer since seven years of age, she has and continues to sing in operas, performing with some of the best musicians in the country, such as The Godafather of Indian Jazz — Louiz Banks.
What feels like a breath of fresh air when you go through Tara’s social media, however, is how relatable her feed feels, filled with pictures of not just of herself but also her loved ones, most of whom are not from the industry. Posting this picture last Christmas, she had written about celebrating the evening in the good ’old Bandra way, in the company of friends, old and new!
Not just Christmas; the Parsi girl seems to celebrate every special occasion — even her birthday — rooted in tradition. Here’s a glimpse of her birthday cake on her Roj birthday (the birthday according to the Zoroastrian calendar) she cut in the company of close friends!
Not just posting pictures of good food, the SOTY 2 star knows how to whip up some delicious fare as well. Taking to Instagram, the actress often drops pictures of wholesome dishes, taking immense pride and joy in it, like any of us who dabble in cooking, really!
One more thing that often grabs our attention while going through Tara’s social media is her love for designing ornate tablespaces for her parties. Talk about an artsy host!
Just like a lot of us tend to post pictures of random yet pretty things, Tara often posts pictures of charming corners in her house, making her feed even more diverse.
Not just exotic food, sometimes fast food finds its way through the actress’ diet (also, social media) as well and we can not help but appreciate how real and unapologetic that feels!
Unlike the ‘will-they-won’t-they’ public narratives we hear around most Bollywood celebs even when they are ‘reportedly‘ single, Tara seems to celebrate being single, decentering, at least her social media feed, from work and romance — reminding us that there is so much more to life if you only decide to find it. Here’s a glimpse she shared on Valentine’s day, captioning it, “Happy Valentines Day to all of my single ladies! Here’s to us.”
