Subhadrika Sen
Derozio had worked at an indigo factory at Bhagalpur where on the bank of Ganges he started writing his poetry.
He was of Portuguese descent.
He was born in Kolkata near Entally- Moulali. His house (in pic) still stands today at 155 A AJC Bose Road. A plaque confirming that is placed at the entrance.
It is said that Derozio was a devotee of Lord Shiva.
He also took part in student plays.
