Why does the Saturn and Rahu conjunction form “Srapit Yoga”: Challenges and solutions

Udisha

The Saturn-Rahu conjunction is termed Srapit Yoga according to ancient Vedic astrology and is regarded to be a cursed union. The conjunction forms when both the celestial bodies align in the same house of a birth chart. Both the astronomical planet and the astrological point are said to carry heavy karmic baggage.

The tug-of-war

Saturn demands discipline and slow, steady growth, while Rahu is wants to break boundaries and demands immediate results. They are polar opposite energies and there is a clash.

Amplified negativity

Rahu is like a magnifying glass and so, instead of bringing out the best in Saturn, it magnifies and amplifies the heavier, negative and isolating vibes such as fear, anxiety and the sense of hitting a wall.

The weight of "karmic debt"

The Srapit Yoga feels like an endless cycle of paying debts, that is working hard without reaping the rewards, as if one is paying for something that did not even do. This leaves the person feeling drained.

The illusion of stability

While Saturn projects reality, Rahu is the deceiver and creates an illusion where you are stuck in a cycle. One works hard towards their big foundation but soon realises the basis was faulty, and the entire endeavour collapses. It is a conjunction that exhausts one mentally.
