Native roots
Born to Bhaskar and Baby Shetty in Kundapura, Karnataka, Bhoomi can fluently speak Kannada, Tulu, and Telugu. During her schooling, she developed her classical performing art skills through the folk art form Yakshagana.
Breakthrough in TV
Bhoomi Shetty made her acting debut as Mani in the Kannada television series Kinnari. Later, she played the role of Mrudula in the Telugu drama Ninne Pelladatha and had a cameo in Akka Chellelu.
Big Boss fame
In 2019, her fame skyrocketed when she participated in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 7. She demonstrated her incredible charisma, as she succeeded in completing the competitive process and became the 4th runner-up.
Transition to feature films
Bhoomi Shetty made the transition to feature films with her starring debut in Ikkat (2021), a film that premiered directly to Amazon Prime Video, thereby symbolising her successful move from television to OTT films.
Mythological movie lead
She will soon portray the fierce title character Mahakali. Directed by Puja Kolluru and produced by RKD Studios, this movie from the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe has Akshaye Khanna as Shukracharya.
