Prep with a lightweight eye cream
Hydration will ensure that the sensitive skin beneath your eyes stays plump and prevents the makeup from settling into the fine lines. Use a light and fast-absorbing eye cream about 5 minutes before starting your makeup.
Choose the correct formula
Creamy, thick formulas settle into wrinkles. It’s better to choose moisturising, liquid concealers with self-setting or radiant finishes, as the former maintain flexibility on the skin all day.
Less is more
One of the most effective tips to prevent concealer from creasing is to apply as little product as possible. Apply just a little bit in the areas where the dark circles are situated and blend it outward.
Use a damp sponge
Brushes tend to apply too much product at a time. By tapping a wet micro-sponge on the area beneath the eyes, any leftover product will get soaked up perfectly, and the makeup will be blended properly into the skin without any visible strokes.
Lock it with translucent powder
Shortly after blending, apply a small amount of translucent powder on the surface using a micro-puff. Applying powder right after applying the concealer is one of the most important steps to prevent concealer from creasing.
Finish with hydrating spray
A simple spritz of a hydrating setting spray blends powdery layers and secures colour. It ensures that the makeup underneath does not seep into any wrinkles and keeps the under-eye area bright and awake.
