The fastest and most powerful F-Pace is here. It includes an enhanced aerodynamics package as well, in order for it to perform in the manner that it does. Designed to deliver an unmatched level of ride and handling, the car is engineered by the Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations unit and comes fitted with a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol engine that delivers 550 PS of power and 680 Nm of peak torque.
The power has gone up by a solid 44 per cent as compared to the regular F-Pace and the SVR version can now do the 0-100 kmph dash in 4.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 283 kmph which almost puts it in supercar territory!
The aerodynamic enhancements include larger air intakes at the front and side fender vents that lower pressure in the wheel arches, reduce lift and provide additional cooling while also optimising high-speed stability. The performance SUV also gets an exclusive SVR bonnet that features vents to help extract hot air from the engine bay and provide visual evidence of the SVR’s dynamic intent.
At the rear, the vehicle gets a unique spoiler joined by a new bumper housing and quad tailpipes. Completing the package are the lightweight forged 21-inch alloy wheels. The F-Pace SVR is expected to make its way to India this year and will cost close to `1.2 crore.
