According to Mercedes-Benz, this latest addition to the AMG line-up in India is here to set a benchmark amongst performance luxury sedans as it is the most powerful E-Class of all time. In fact, it takes performance saloons into a whole new dimension.
AMG pedigree
The E 63 S 4MATIC+ gets a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that churns out 612 hp of power and 850 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful engine to ever be fitted into the E-Class sedan. It is capable of going from standstill to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds, which also makes it the quickest car in the entire Mercedes-AMG line-up! While the top speed is limited to 250 kmph, you can opt for the driver’s package which allows you to go to 300 kmph in this performance luxury saloon.
The vehicle also benefits from an AMG Speedshift 9 speed sports automatic transmission and as the name suggests, it also gets the AMG 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system with variable torque distribution and drift mode. With all that power on board, it is important to keep things safe, and the automobile is second to none in
this department. It comes with active brake assist, which is a radar-based driver assistance system that can help prevent accidents with vehicles ahead and with crossing pedestrians or mitigate the consequences of
accidents.
It is a combination of proximity warning, collision warning, situation-dependent braking assistance, and autonomous braking function. You also get a total of seven airbags and the Multibeam Intelligent Light System.

Other key features of the sedan include the AMG dynamic select drive programs which includes a ‘RACE’ mode, the AMG-tuned sports suspension with air body control, a RaceStart function that can be used in Sport, Sport Plus, or Race modes to mitigate wheel spin while setting off from the start line, a rear differential lock for optimal traction, an AMG Sport speed-sensitive steering and, of course, you also get the AMG high-performance braking system.
