The German carmaker is out with their first production version EV and it’s a full-size SUV christened as the e-tron. It is a full-size SUV that is sporty and has some futuristic design elements lending it an air of ‘premiumness’ as well.
Fitted with two powerful electric motors and a new generation quattro drive system, the SUV can go from 0-100 kmph in 5.7 seconds and has a range of over 400 kilometres. The two electric motors churn out 300 kW of power and oodles of torque—resulting in a vehicle that is fast, frugal, and fun to drive. To give it that kind of range, this carmaker is the first manufacturer in the world to use an integrated electrohydraulic brake control system in order to maximize energy recuperation.
The cabin boasts of a plush upmarket look and the workmanship is top notch. It also comes with a lot of features that include navigation with the e-tron route planner so that you can figure out charging points along the way if required. We hope to see it in India in the future considering the Government push to make India an all-electric mobility nation by 2030.
