Kanye West drops his new album, YANDHI, as 26-second ringtones on the iTunes store

It’s on Kanye’s official iTunes page.

We’re not kidding! Each track from Kanye West’s latest studio album, Yandhi, is up for grabs for $1.29.
Reddit users stumbled upon it on the artistes’ official iTunes page. Truth is, the internet isn’t surprised.

Kanye, has been milking these impromptu album rollout strategies for some time now.  Be it, 2016’s The Life of Pablo (during a fashion show) or 2018’s Ye (launched through a listening party).

Between releasing his last album and this one, the Heartless singer’s career has been riddled with controversies and several album snippet leaks. From his positive comments on the current president of the US to his, Twitter spat with hip-hop icon Drake—the list is endless. Not to mention the birth of his and Kim Kardashian’s fourth child, a boy named Psalm.

Despite all of this, he stated that he would drop his ninth gospel-influenced studio album, Jesus is King, on September 27. Yet, nothing other than another ‘private listening party’ materialised. Now to the delight of his fans, the rapper has unveiled tracks titled “Alien,” “We’ll Find a Way,” and “New Body” carrying the Yandhi’s MiniDisc album art. Only thing is, every tune is in the form of a 26-second ringtone. As one redditor joked: “Kanye West announces he will no longer make music. Only ringtones from here on out.”
