After having a very successful outing with her first short film, Neighbourhood Ties, a ten-minute long comedy which was selected at the Cannes Film Festival last year, filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh's daughter Diya Ghosh, 26, is ready to enter Bollywood.

And when it comes to debuting in Hindi films, what could be better than developing one of the most feted characters of Bollywood cinema created by her father called Bob Biswas. Immortalised on-screen by none other than actor Saswat Chatterjee, Bob Biswas, a contract killer, was the most spine chilling character in the superhit movie Kahaani starring Vidya Balan.

If sources are to be believed, Diya's debut movie titled Bob Biswas will star Saswata Chatterjee besides none other than Ritwick Chakraborty and will be shot in Kolkata in 21 days. The shooting for the same would commence from November. This small-budget film will be produced by Sujoy Ghosh. Earlier this year, Ghosh's movie Badla starring Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu was well-appreciated by the audience and the critics alike.

Besides, he also debuted in the webspace with a horror-suspense thriller series Typewriter in Netflix that was widely appreciated. He also produced Ribhu Dasgupta's web series Bard of Blood that recently released on Netflix.

We texted Sujoy Ghosh for his response but he is tight-lipped about it and doesn't want to comment right away.
