Dino Morea maybe turning 43 this year, but he tells us that his sprint time can put a bunch of 20-year-olds to shame. The actor recently launched SuperdrySport alongside Anusha Dandekar in Delhi. And this was quite fitting because between football matches with his brother Santino Morea’s Roots League and his personal brand of open-air fitness stations (entirely free) on the streets on Mumbai — Morea’s athleisure style statement is on the daily and hardly a trend.

“I play football three or four times a week and the format is like the EPL, it gets pretty competitive,” he tells us over the phone from his home in Mumbai. The rest of the week is  spent on “strength trainingand speed” in compressed 30-minute sessions at the gym, he shares. Given that fans seem to enjoy glimpses of the actor’s workout routines on his Instagram stories, he tells us, “I’m going to be shooting some fitness capsules as an extension of these posts, as well.”

Eat, play, repeat

What Dino eats
“After a football match, I eat every damn thing
in sight and twice the amount!”

Favourite workout song
Uproar by Lil Wayne

Thoughts on Keto
“Diets are rubbish. My philosophy is simple: your input = your output.”

No apps, just sweat
“I don’t use apps. I am old-school when it comes to my workout routine. Once I tried a Fitbit for about a week to track what was going on. But apps can only do that much — track your calories, or your
heart rate. You’ve got to do the work.”

Of course, what we want to know is when the actor who gave us Pyar Mein Kabhi Kabhi and Raaz, is shooting his next movie. And the Bollywood star surprises us when he says: “March or April next year.” After a five-year acting hiatus, he says he’s ready to get back in front of the camera and reveals that he has even been brushing up on his acting skills with a tutor, “So I’m always ready when opportunity strikes,” he says. The film will be produced by Dino’s own production house Clockwork Films Private Ltd. The company that produced Jism 2 has two projects underway, “We have a fantastic script called Helmets which we are casting in a few days, and the film that I will be acting in is for the script we have lined up right after.”

Is he dating? We save the juiciest question for last. “No, I’m single!” the hunky actor’s voice comes crackling over the line. Well, dreams are free. Much like his 100 square foot fitness stations across Mumbai, Ahmedabad and soon planned for Bengaluru. So, ladies: sprint!
