Actor Vijay Varma reunites with Gully Boy director Zoya Akhtar for Ghost Stories

The actor will be seen opposite Janhvi Kapoor in the anthology

Vijay Varma, who won hearts with his performance as Ranveer Singh's best friend in Gully Boy has been on a film signing spree. Vijay who has been cast in Mira Nair's A Suitable Boy, has now been roped in for Zoya Akhtar’s short in the anthology Ghost Stories Along with Janhvi Kapoor. 

The actor made this announcement through his Instagram profile by posting a picture of the clapboard from the sets. Vijay captioned the image, "Reunion with the queen Zo." Ghost Stories is an anthology of four short films and Vijay will be in the film directed by Zoya.

The other three films will be directed by Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee. Ghost Stories is part of the series which was earlier made as Bombay Talkies. The shoot of Zoya’s short has just commenced and the film will be produced by RSVP Pictures and Tiger Baby.

Meanhwhile, the lead actors are busy with their other projects. In A Suitable Boy, Vijay will portray the role of Rasheed, a student at Brahmpur University, who is also an Arabic teacher. The series is being made by Mira for BBC World and is an adaptation of Vikram Seth's acclaimed novel of the same name. Janhvi is shooting for Kargil Girl and has three more projects in hand that include Dostana 2 and Takht.
