Shefali Shah wins best actor award for Delhi Crime at Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore

Talented actor Shefali Shah wins her third best actor award for her role of a tough cop in the web series Delhi Crime

Talented actor Shefali Shah won her third best actor award for the riveting crime web series Delhi Crime at the 2nd annual Asian Academy Creative Awards held in Singapore a few days back. 

A noir web series constructed around the real-life crime incidents in and around the country's capital, Shefali is seen playing a tough cop in this web series directed by Richie Mehta, which is available on the OTT platform Netflix. 

Apart from Shefali receiving the best actor award, the series also won the Best Drama Series, Best Direction – Fiction & Best Original Programme by a Streamer/OTT).

This is Shefali Shah’s third Best Actress award for Delhi Crime apart from the ones she won at iReel Awards 2019 and 10th Jagran Film Festival 2019).

"I am extremely thrilled and excited to win the best actress award. There were so many South Asian countries nominated like China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and the competition was very stiff. But I was more excited to receive the best drama series award,” tells Shefali.

Shefali Shah played the central role of a passionate cop, Vartika Chaturvedi in this series, based on Nirbhaya rape and murder case, who investigated the rape case and hunted down the rapists in 72 hours.
