A film can turn an actor into a star, but a star can’t alone guarantee a great film: Vicky Kaushal

While he is busy enjoying the success of his film, he will be soon be seen playing the lead as Aurangzeb in Karan Johar’s next film Takht.

Bollywood's newest hearthrob Vicky Kaushal is busy basking in the glory of his recent film URI: The Surgical Strike, which is turning out to be quite a success and has also entered the Rs 100 crore club. The actor, who first made his debut in a lead role in Masaan in 2015, hasn’t looked back ever since with Manmarziyaan and Sanju, among others. In a recent interview, Vicky spoke at length about the the success of a film and he had some wise words to share.

After the success of his recent films, Vicky when asked about the secret said that a hero cannot make a film hit because movies are made by teams and he credits Aditya Dhar and Ronnie Screwvala for the good film. He added that while it is a film can turn an actor into a star, a star can’t alone guarantee a great film. Interestingly, while Vicky has played smaller roles, he shot to fame with his roles as Deepak Chaudhary in Masaan, and even though he had a small role in Raman Raghav 2.0, it was the Netflix series Love Per Square Foot which put him in the spotlight again. After Raazi, Lust Stories, Manmarziyaan and Sanju in 2018, this year has already seen URI doing so well and we wouldn’t be surprised if his next film is also going to be a hit.

While he is busy enjoying the success of his film, he will be soon be seen playing the lead as Aurangzeb in Karan Johar’s next film Takht. The film will also have Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor among other stars.
