Actor Amrita Rao who is currently promoting her upcoming movie Thackeray with Nawazuddin Siddiqui revealed in an interview that she was also replaced in a film by a star kid in the past.

The Vivah star said that she was given a confirmation from the makers that she was finalised as the heroine of the film."I suddenly got to know some sugar daddy picked up the phone and his relative replaced me in that movie.'' Saying that such incidents are natural, Amrita wishes if the director had the decency to convey it to her gracefully that the makers had to do the replacement for certain reasons.

Calling it undignified, she went on to say that she had always wished to have some senior actor or actress guide and give her insights of this industry and on how to decline films without hurting fragile egos. "There is so much that I learned in my journey which I wish I knew before," said the Main Hoon Na actress.

Recently, Taapsee Pannu also found herself dropped from the remake of Mudassar Aziz's directorial Pati, Patni Aur Woh without any intimation. Replaced by a star-kid Ananya Pandey, the Pink star said "I assumed that I was the first choice since the director narrated the script to me first. After moving my dates, I think it would have been better if I was informed about the development instead of finding out about it from others." Responding to the Manmarziyaan actress's complaint, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Juno Chopra of BR Studios also admitted that they had reached Taapsee for one of the roles. They also added that they never made any commitment to her as they were also reaching out to other actors as well.
