Karisma Kapoor had to do 15 retakes because of me: Shahid Kapoor

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor who is now a famous star initially faced a lot of hardships at the beginning of his career. Starting off in the industry as a background dancer, he performed in Le Gayi Le Gayi song from Yash Chopra's  Dil To Pagal Hai. Recently in an interview, the star revealed that Karisma Kapoor had a tough time shooting the song just because of him.

Interested in dance from the age of 15, Shahid joined Shyamak Davar's dance institute. The actor who later became an instructor at the institute also appeared among the background dancers in the film Taal. The actor was given a chance to feature in Karisma Kapoor's Le Gayi song which is still considered to be one of the best songs of the actress.

Recalling the incident, the Padmaavat star said, "There was one guy with the really big hair who was slightly offbeat. That’s me." Mentioning that Karisma Kapoor had to do 15 retakes because of him, the Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor continued, "She once turned back and said ye kaun hai? Kaun hai ye? I was hiding myself and saying main nahi hoon, main nahi hoon." Saying that his hair used to settle down half a beat after the completion of a step, he also added that it technically wasn't his fault but the length of his hair.

Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in Sandeep Vanga's Kabir Singh alongside Kiara Advani, the remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy.
