It appears that Elon Musk's Tesla revolution will have an impact on the next James Bond movie, set to be released in April 2020.

Actor Daniel Craig has been confirmed to reprise his role as James Bond and according to reports in British tabloids, he might well be seen driving an Aston Martin Rapide E - rather than any of the V12 motorhead V12 variants.

Fans on online forums have already picked up on the discussion, and there are many in favour of Bond driving an electric Aston Martin.

While the name of Bond's next movie is yet to be confirmed, it's release date is expected in April 2020.

Reports have ascribed the influence on director Cary Joji Fukunaga, who is known for being an eco-warrior in his personal life.

The director is said to have specified that he wanted a pair of eco-friendly wheels for Bond, while the movie's producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson are said to have approved the idea.

Fukunaga is said to be in discussions with the British automaker to build a custom electric version for Daniel Craig.

Interestingly, reports noted that Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer had in fact earlier hinted at the possibility of an e-car for Bond.
