Superstar Shah Rukh Khan loves throwing parties. It's not news that the actor hosts grand Diwali bashes every year at his Mumbai residence, Mannat attended by the A-listers of Bollywood.

Last year's party was no different and celebrities including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal,  Rajkummar Rao, Taapsee Pannu, Malaika Arora, Karan Johar, among many others were present. The pictures of the party were all across social media post the event.

However, in a recent chat show, actor Vicky Kaushal opened about an embarrassing incident that happened at the last party.

He was quoted saying, "So Shah Rukh sir called me and said, 'It was my birthday a few days ago. It's just a chill dinner, so come with your friends.' It was my first time at Mannat and I was so happy that it was a chill get-together for his birthday. So I go in my denim and T-shirt and shirt over it, just casual."

Vicky, who showed up to the "chill dinner" in his casual avatar was stunned to see all the stars at the event dressed at their ethnic best. "I enter and see Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora, everyone in like heavy Indian," he added.

He went on to add that he was lucky enough to find some company, "Me, Taapsee, Rajkummar Rao...three-four of us were prepared for a birthday casual scene till we realised that we were so off. We were hanging out in one corner behind the curtain. Like, bar ke peeche wale curtain ke peeche wale wall ke peeche. We were like, koi dekh na le humein. I was so embarrassed because I was the first of that lot to enter."

The actor later ran into star filmmaker and major fashion critic, Karan Johar who gave him a disapproving look. "Karan meets me and he's like, 'Hi, you.' Then he just looks at me (disapprovingly) and says, 'We need to talk,'" Vicky shared.
