Bala was a highly anticipated film, however, Yami has turned out to be the surprise package with her performance as Pari Mishra, a small town Tik Tok star-turned-model from Lucknow. The actress had revealed how she had found inspiration in the late actress Sridevi to prepare for this role.All the praises are slowly sinking in, says Yami. But the fact that Janhvi Kapoor complimented her is something truly special.
The actress reveals, "When I started filming Bala, it was the late Sridevi's iconic roles that inspired me. You don't see many roles for women in comedy nowadays. But it was her and other actresses who truly inspired me. Sridevi ma’am was a legend in such roles, she had the knack of doing a film like Chaalbaaz and then also do a film like Sadma. Her comedy was a delight to watch. So when Janhvi messaged me, it made me sentimental."
