No one approached me for Simmba, says Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan, one of the potential upcoming Bollywood actress’ once again proved her passion for films. Having acting skills in her blood, the 23-year-old actor has taken after her parents Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. Recently in an interview, Sara said that she was not approached by anyone for Simmba, but it was her who kept messaging the director Rohit Shetty for the role. 

The diva made her debut into the Bollywood world as Mandakani 'Mukku' Mishra in Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath, starring alongside Kai Po Che star Sushant Singh Rajput. Recently, Sara has been seen promoting her next movie Simmba with her co-star Ranveer Singh, directed by Rohit Shetty. "I am a huge Rohit sir fan. I aspire for his versatility, and I mean it. I messaged Rohit Sir thrice and he responded on the third message. I think he is the king of commercial cinema," said the Kedarnath actress. Speaking on this, the Chennai Express filmmaker says, ''Nobody approached Sara. She approached (us) herself. She literally cooked my brain by messaging me so many times."

Simmba is an upcoming action movie produced by Karan Johar under the Dharma Productions banner and is slated to hit screens on December 28. The Bajirao Mastani star, Ranveer Singh will be essaying the role of ACP Sangram 'Simmba' Bhalerao, a corrupt cop, while Sara will play Priya Bakshi and Ajay Devgan as DCP Bajirao Singham.
