Deepika Padukone has always been a star well known for the characters and roles she picks in the films. Over the past 12 years, despite her emotional breakdowns, the Chennai Express star proved herself by entertaining her fans. Recently in an interview, DP confirmed that she is doing a superhero film with her friend.
The Padmaavat star said, "Yes, I’m working on it. I hope it happens. There’s no script as yet. It’s something my friend and I are developing. I was in the plane with a friend from the industry and talking about the movies, we realised that this superhero movie is something we’d like to make. It’s a seed we’re nurturing.”
On being asked about the film hitting the shooting floors after Chhapaak, the 32-year-old star replied that the superhero film will be made once everything comes together. The Bajirao Mastani star is yet to decide upon the characters, director and all the other elements of the film. Well, after a deal of Bollywood male superhero movies like Krrish and Ra.One, looks like India will be witnessing its first female superhero movie very soon.
Chhapak is an upcoming movie based on a true story directed by Meghna Gulzar. The newly-wed bride who recently turned producer of this movie will also be essaying the role of Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack survivor. The film will also feature A Death In The Gunj star Vikrant Massey in a lead role.
