Actor Khusboo has official been roped in for Thalaivar 168, Rajinikanth's next film after Darbar. The movie that also stars Keerthy Suresh, Soori and Prakash Raj, will also include actress Meena in its ensemble cast.

Thalaivar 168 marks Khusbhu's first film with Rajinikanth in 28 years, in fact, the actress-politician made her Tamil cinema debut alongside the Superstar in  Dharmathin Thalaivan in 1988. The two have since shared screen space on multiple projects including Annamalai and Pandian in the past.

Responding to her casting along Rajinikanth, Khusbu said she was joining hands with him after 28 years and that the "joy (of it) is unique. We have done many films, people accepted and liked us. I have been in Tamil films for 8-9 years and was waiting for a big one.”

Produced by Sun Pictures, the movie will be directed by Siva, while the music will be by D Imam
