Venkatesh K, a 26-year-old Graphic Designer says, "Pikachu is both cute and powerful. I have seen all the episodes from Indigo to Sun and Moon and I still continue to watch them. We used to collect tazos, stickers and puzzles of Pikachu that came along with Cheetos, when we were kids. I still cherish them all and hope the movie gives us what we had experienced growing up."

Aravindha Rajan, who grew up on a diet of Pokemon cartoons says, "Pokemon was a whole new universe for children. The reason that Pikachu is the most loved one, is because of the bond between Pikachu and his trainer. It has always reminded me of my sister. We used to watch it every day after school and I loved calling her my Pikachu."

"Pikachu is cute and always got his trainer's back. It is not only his pet, but a companion. We have evolved in the same way like Pokemon, from playing with Pokemon cards to playing Pokemon Go, our generation has seen it all. The saddest part is  I wasn't able to catch a Pikachu in Coimbatore while playing the game. At least, with the movie we'll have a Pikachu in the city." says Dishvan M J, an 18-year-old student.

Dharun Suriya, a cartoon enthusiast  states," The adventures, battles and the pokemon training are what made the show alluring and I am ardently waiting for the live action movie to see how the Deadpool actor gives life to the Pikachu."

The first live action movie of the Pokemon series, Pokemon Detective Pikachu is all set to hit the screens this weekend. The film has actor Ryan Reynolds as voice and facial motion capture of Pikachu. The film also stars young actors, Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton in the lead roles.
