Twenty-five years ago, when Prabhudheva's hit song Muqabala, composed by AR Rahman released, it became a national craze. The iconic song has been recreated for Remo D'Souza's directorial Street Dancer 3D, by Tanishk Bagchi.

The lead actors, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, along with the other crew are in Dubai filming the most interesting dance sequences of the film. As the song was being shot, Prabhudheva effortlessly performed a minute-long sequence in a single take, while Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, who have great memories of the song couldn't stop themselves from cheering when Prabhu was filming his solo performance.

On recreating the cult song, producer Bhushan Kumar says, “Muqabala is a song that became an instant hit back then and is still played in the clubs. When Remo had a situation in the film where we get to see Prabhudheva show his dance moves, I knew we needed to bring Muqabala back. The song was shot in Dubai recently and we have Prabhudheva, Varun and Shraddha with our key dancers. The audience is going to be blown away with the video and choreography. 25 years to the song that broke records back then, it is still one of my favourites. I am sure, the new version will be loved as well.”

The film also features Nora Fatehi, Sonam Bajwa, Shakti Mohan, Dharmesh and several others in pivotal roles.

Street Dancer 3D produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Lizelle D’Souza, directed by Remo D’Souza, starring Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Prabhudeva & Nora Fatehi releases on 24th January 2020
