Actor Karthi was last seen in the recently released film Kaithi. The film is an out-and-out action thriller and has been receiving some rave reviews.
The film was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram fame.
The film revolves around Karthi and his jail inmates planning a prison break and showcases events leading to the escape from prison, happening in 4 hours.
The filming was done in 62 nights as the film predominantly shot in the night.
Now the latest update is that in a recent press meet actor Karthi revealed that he will be collaborating with director Lokesh Kanagaraj again for the sequel ‘Kaithi 2’, which will only take around 30 days to complete.
The sequel will go on floors once Lokesh Kanagaraj wraps up ‘Thalapathy 64’.
SR Prabhu along with Tiruppur Vivek has bankrolled the project under the banner Dream Warrior pictures in association with Vivekananda Pictures.
The film also stars Narain, Dheena and George Mariyan, Dheena and others in crucial roles.
Sam CS is scoring the music for the film and Sathyan Sooryan is cranking the camera.
