Friday saw the weekend off to a hectic start, with multiple events across the city. While one bunch was at the Chennai International Fashion Week, and another at Q Bar for the launch of a new privilege card, the foodies had gathered at Amethyst for the first anniversary celebrations of Kappa Chakka Kandhari. Loyal patrons were in for a treat with an amazing spread of Kerala cuisine, and a fish pickle that everyone is still talking about.
Saturday saw the launch of the new Bath and Body Works at VR Chennai, with the setting of a new Guinness World record. The feat in question? ‘Maximum number of participants in a perfume application relay’. Actor Hansika Motwani got the crowd all fired up, kickstarting the relay, and it’s safe to say we came away feeling pumped and smelling even better. Meanwhile, across town’ Wedding Exhibition 3.0 was underway at Buva House, with quite a few popular faces dropping by for a little retail therapy.
The same mood continued on Sunday with the launch of Tina Vincent’s new store in Gopalapuram. Tina’s loyal customers span many years and various spheres, and they turned up in full force to check out the new venue.
