Between a bachelorette in Thailand, fashion exhibitions and the launch of a brand new food app, this week was choc-a-bloc

Here's a quick rewind to all the hippest events, in case you missed it

I almost want to start by saying ‘Sawadika!’ having made a quick escape to Thailand this weekend for a friend’s bachelorette. They say that ‘Girls just wanna have fun’ and have fun we did. The all-girl trip was a getaway featuring the shopping-eating-spa trinity, in all its glory. We indulged in all our favourites, from bowlfuls of soupy noodles to mango and sticky rice, ending with the all-important task of getting our suitcases to close. Let’s just say it was a group effort. Well done team.

And no matter where you are in the world, there’s always that teeny tiny bit of FOMO, and we got to see all that we were missing out on, loud and clear thanks to everyone’s Instagram stories. High on the list was ‘Festive Fever’ the latest edition of Funky Fish, drawing hordes of ladies, many of whom already had their shopping lists in place. Of course, there was the usual bunch that had dropped by to have a look and catch up with their gal-pals. A hot topic of conversation was founder Pavitra Sagar’s latest sartorial endeavour, Style Muze which is both turning heads and amassing a huge Instagram following by the day. Everyone also loved the décor, ‘Indian-y Kitch’ at its best, a bazaar-style feel perfectly reflecting the theme.

Next on the shopping trail was  ‘Popsicle’  hosted by Selvi Mahesh, at The Folly at Amethyst. Quite a few celebrities were spotted doing a little festive shopping and enjoying the exclusive range of goodies on offer. The last of this week’s festive line up was at the same venue, for Pehnava by Shuba Jagan, featuring brands from across the country.  Sunday saw a meet and greet with foodies and home chefs at Bungalow 12 courtesy the launch of the EAT app. There was some serious lip-smacking goodness featuring some of my favourite home cooks and their signature dishes. The list included Madhu Malhotra’s Sindhi Dal Pakwan and Yasmin Osman’s Biryani.
