Sumeet Vyas, Maanvi Gagroo and Amol Parashar, the three siblings of TVF’s Tripling, say that Season Two promises to take viewers on an exciting journey. Three years after taking a road trip around the country to figure out their lives, siblings Chandan, Chanchal and Chitvan Sharma are going to be on the road again. Maanvi, who plays Chanchal Sharma in Tripling, says what got her excited about the show in the first place, was because more than being about friends, couples or families, "the plot revolves around siblings going on a road trip”.

Past perfect
Season One of the TVF series released with five episodes in 2016. This season will have the same number of episodes, but the plot is quite different. Ask Maanvi how, and she remains tight-lipped. “We want the plot to be a surprise. All I can say is that while the characters are the same and even the relationships are similar, the situation will be different as they are now grown up and in a different phase of their lives,” says the Delhi-born actor, who was recently seen in Amazon Prime’s Four More Shots Please. In the last season, we saw Maanvi’s character Chanchal embark on a road trip with her brothers after she was married to a royal family in Jodhpur, and pregnant with a child. But Season Two will see a different side of her. “Chanchal is actually in a different place in her life now, quite like the other characters — Chandan is a famous author and Chitvan is still dealing with the cops. Chanchal is a little stronger this time,” the PK actor offers.

Sibling revelry
The road trip is an integral part of the series, and while last season saw the trio travel from Rajasthan to Himachal Pradesh, we learn that they will be going to Kolkata, this time around. With so much happening in their character’s lives, it wouldn’t be surprising to say that the on-screen siblings share a cosy camaraderie off the sets too. Sumeet, Maanvi and Amol now share quite a close bond with each other, which made it a fun experience for all three of them during the filming, says Maanvi. “I have a similar relationship with Sumeet and Anmol, as Chanchal has with Chandan and Chitvan. I like to turn to Sumeet for advice usually, and have a lot of fun bullying Amol, while we are on set,” she adds. Being a prankster, the actor says, “I love pranks that usually involve scaring people. But truth be told, I am the one who is the most frightened of the lot,” signs off the actor, whose latest project is a 90-minute feature film on Zee 5 called Ab Normal.

Streams on TVF Play and SonyLiv.
