Hello there Upper Eastsiders and those who miss them dearly, we have some exciting news for you! Believe it when we say that there’s news that Gossip Girl is getting a reboot. Our nostalgic selves can barely keep calm. Also, recently, Kristen Bell was asked in an interview if she would take up the role of the iconic narrator of the show. All the fans got was a "maybe" but that hasn't stopped them from being hopeful. 

Moreover, when the show announced its return for a new generation – we can’t help but wonder if anyone from the original cast will be seen on the show, even in cameos. Time and again Blake Lively and Leighton Meester have stated that they are open to the idea. Although no one’s sure of their return, one can be assured that it will new group of wealthy New York adolescents who strut in their high-heels and kick up some drama.

The plot description reads, “Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl.” reads a plot description. The series is likely to address just how much social media—and the landscape of New York itself—has changed in the intervening years.”

The stars of the Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley became famous overnight and a lot of fans loyally looked forward to the chemistry between Blair (Leighton) and Chuck (Ed). Reports say that the new Gossip Girl will be based in the year 2020.

Spoiler alert! It is set eight years after the original portal went dark when the Upper Eastsiders discovered that Gossip Girl is none other than Dan, essayed by Penn. The show will most likely be helmed by original executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and Josh Safran.
