Over a decade later, Brandon Routh’s life has come full circle. The Iowa-born actor—who previously played the Man of Steel in Superman Returns—is now part of American channel CW’s DC Universe. The CW has unveiled Brandon's look as Superman for its upcoming ‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’ Arrowverse crossover

The network has confirmed his costume to be that of the Kingdom Come Superman. This time in the Man of Steel’s Kingdom Come persona—where a decade after Joker kills Lois Lane, he steps out of retirement from the Fortress of Solitude—Superman is teaming up with others. Though due to copyright issues, TV shows progress differently and the plot may not be that of Mark Waid and Alex Ross from 1996.

As fans have pointed out, the colour-texture of the suit and raised chest symbol may be a reminiscent nod Brandon’s Superman Returns costume from the 2006 feature film. Routh will portray both Superman and his regular Arrowverse character Ray Palmer aka the Atom in the crossover series.

However, fans can also expect Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. The five-episode event will also incorporate the upcoming Batwoman TV show. Plus, Black Lightning will join Crisis on Infinite Earths in its first crossover which will premiere across December and January.
