Prints by the pool

Hyderabad  designers Monisha Reddy and Prathyusha Bompally started their label Taavare (which translates to lotus)in 2017, and they mainly specialise in occasion wear and Indo-Western partywear. “We are bringing easy, breezy prints to Chennai with designs best suited for fun events like destination weddings and poolside events,” explains 30-year-old Monisha who has previously launched two collections named Rose in the Air and Amaara. “As far as silhouettes go, we aren’t limited to a particular silhouette chart. Taavare has everything from coordinated sets, jumpsuits to lehengas.” The duo are bringing about 45 pieces for the pop-up, and they source their fabrics from local vendors in Hyderabad, and Mumbai. “Once the fabric is dyed and embroidered, our in-house team puts together the ensemble,” concludes Monisha. `12,000 onwards.

Power dressing

Kolkata-based luxury couture label Garo are known for their intricate and bespoke embroidery.
