It’s been 25 years since one of the best sitcoms in history, Friends was aired on NBC network. A show that reminded all of us of innocent friendships, love, heartbreak and kindness also brought in the best fashion trends during its time. Though the world was equally fond of Chandler's jackets and Ross's sweaters, Rachel Green was undoubtedly the style icon of the show. Her haircuts and clothes are still being recreated and worn by fans all over the world.
To celebrate this iconic show, on its 25th anniversary, America's own Ralph Lauren is releasing a Rachel Green special collection. The line-up would include the best work outfits worn by Jennifer Anniston, who plays an employee at Ralph Lauren. The collection will be launched at select Bloomingdale's stores, which was yet another one of Rachel's employers in the show. According to sources close to the designer, the collection would largely feature pieces from the Polo and Lauren Ralph Lauren collections including wool suits and turtlenecks in renewed designs, trousers in black leather, midi- or miniskirts in suede, leather and plaid, and jackets in velvet, faux leopard fur and purple shearling. The brand would also take fans on a trip down the memory lane with pin-striped suits, crested blazers, and equestrian-inspired accessories in navy and orange colour-blocking with pops of leopard. The pieces are all priced at $150 and above.
Shoppers can also enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee at a replica of Central Perk coffee shop situated on the retailer's Studio 59 space which has been transformed into the signature coffee shop where the cast hangs out.
