Vajor offers a bohemian paradise for the traveller in you

Earlier an online portal, the three-year-old brand Vajor now opens its outlet in Chennai at the Palladium Mall, after its first one in Pune launched on January 5. Spread across 990 sq ft, the shopping space is compact with room for accessories, home décor, apparel and footwear. Starting from the strands of yarn hung behind the display glass at the entrance, a colour scheme of brown, mustard and green is maintained throughout the store. We also notice a lot of greenery with indoor plants, wall mount stands made of coir and bamboo, a series of track lights and tungsten filaments. The collections at the store are brought from their manufacturing unit in Gurgaon, where they have a team of in-house artisans.

Boho vibes
Keeping boho-chic as the central theme, the store caters to women those who are passionate about travelling and are inclined to a free-flowing bohemian aesthetic. Comprising a pastel palette, the store has tassel earrings and chokers, embroidered juthis and womenswear from casual tops to jumpsuits. Their upcoming pet-inspired line is also their Valentine collection. From paw prints to collars with furballs, this themed-collection for the month is called Humane.

Shop and share
Apart from shopping, Vajor is boosting its strong online presence through its video content and blogs on its page called the ‘Muse of the month,'’ which offers a platform for bloggers across streams to post about current trends. This city-based outlet has tied up with Sunita Yogesh, a textile and interior designer, and founder of House of Patterns, from where they source some of their home décor products like ikat printed photo frames, night lamps made of coir and, block printed cushions.  “We are known for our community-based events and collaboration with artists, writers, travellers to contribute their ideas on fashion trends while sporting our creations,” shares Ayushi Singh, a community architect. The store has plans for events and in-store activities like storytelling sessions, décor classes and music gigs. “We are launching our next store in Delhi by February and will later expand to other metro cities. The other leg which we are working on extensively is related to the international deliveries in specific countries,” shares Ena Bansal, marketing head of the store.
