Summer in Hyderabad might be on its way out, but Delhi-based designer Anupamaa Dayal is set to remind you of summer blooms with her collection, The Indian Summer Song. When she was in town a few days ago to launch this collection at Elahe Urban, she met her patrons who told her that they could recognise her designs immediately. Her line  stands out because she never shies away from using pop colours and bold motifs. “I wanted my motifs to be larger than life, instead of small floral butis inspired, so the flowers you see inspired by the Mughal culture are massive,” says the Delhi-based designer.

Expect to see bold bougainvillea blossoms, floral vines and many variations of stripes. The designer, who wanted to create a collection for all those going on cruise holidays, says, “I am inspired by the blossoms of Indian summer like, gorgeous golden pink flowers. Hence, those are the colours that I wanted to include in my shade card.” One can shop for shirt dresses, wraps, kaftans, chiffon jackets and overlays. Also, don’t miss their signature pashminas.
