City-based designer wear label, House of Three by Sounak Sen Barat and Anu Shyamsundar, will host a pop-up event titled The Conscious Edit, beginning this Saturday. Expected to be on until June 30, it will showcase some of India’s most notable eco-conscious brands.

Some of the participating labels include Pero by Aneeth Arora, known for her whimsical designs, Khara Kapas, which prides itself on comfortable and easy kurtas, dresses and trousers, 11.11 which makes khadi cotton, khadi denim, silk and ahimsa silk garments. Also present at the event will be Bhavya Ramesh, who is known for her ethnic and whimsical jewellery. “These puritan artists are global influencers in the world of ethical fashion,” Sounak tells us.

Nirupa Rao an artist will present some of her botanical illustrations and installations to spread awareness about the importance of sustainability and responsible consumption.

The event kicks off on Saturday, with an invite-only show featuring prominent names in the city. There will also be talks on the topic of sustainability and a musical performance by designer Saunak. “It’s a well thought-out event with a cause, but is also going to be quite entertaining,” says Sounak in conclusion.
