Aaree Accessories, the two-and-a-half-year-old silver and costume jewellery label, based in Ahmedabad, combines skilled craftsmanship and age-old technique in its latest spring summer collection 19’, called Vintage Floral.

The new collection combines traditional motifs and geometric patterns to give silver jewellery a chic and contemporary look. Headed by Aashini Adani, the label specialises in contemporary and classic designs, in silver and brass, along with semi-precious stones like onyx, agate, rose quartz, chalcedony, citrine, garnet and amethyst.

“Our latest collection plays on minimalism and is based on delicate floral designs. It is very lightweight and versatile; something which can be worn by women throughout the day- whether it is in the workplace or to any party,” says Aashini. “But we don’t follow a trend or a fad blindly. We create pieces which can be worn even a couple of years from now," she adds.

“The vintage floral design has been inspired from rare flowers found in the forests and look very unique and classic when worn in the form of bracelets, cuffs, earrings or necklaces. Alongside there are clover shaped motifs and statement dot pieces too, in silver and brass,” informs Aashini. The name ‘Aaree’ was coined by Aashini’s mother, using Aashini’s and her cousin Reeva’s name, and the word literally means an age-old craftsmanship, used in all the major craft-oriented fields- of jewellery, fashion and carpentry.

We noticed circles-shaped wreath-like designs in silver, held together with delicate chains in the form of a bracelet, and teamed up with clover-shaped motifs for earrings. There are delicate chains with clover motifs too, paired with similar fingers rings, which makes for a very charming and feminine accessory to any outfit.

While the silver and brass come from their own production house, the semi-precious stones are sourced by Aashini herself, from Khambhat and Jaipur. “Jewellery is not just an accessory to your clothes, but it adds to your personality and enhances your entire look. I wanted to be a jewellery designer since the age of nine,” says Aashini, with a smile, whose designs and accessories have been used to style most of the celebs in B-town, including Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Taapsee Pannu and Shraddha Agarwal. Recently, actress Taranjit Kaur was seen sporting earrings from the Ghungroo collection FW 17-18, at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival too.
