LETROVE AT PRETORIA Street resonates with its literal meaning — Treasure Chest. Moving beyond traditional designs, the store specialises in contemporary and chic silver and silver plated items that can be easily picked from the racks. Whether for an art connoisseur who looks for exclusive art pieces or for someone who loves the shine of silver, the 650 sq ft store offers plenty of gifting options.

The 65-year-old company was only whole-selling, until a year ago when their flagship franchise store started at Pretoria Street by Anand V Bhuwalka. Yatish Somaiya the owner of the brand says, “LeTrove means a treasure chest and in the years to come we want to become a house of gifting with plenty of choices. With my expertise as a silversmith and my family’s 65 years of legacy, we create more modern and contemporary gifting items in silver. A popup exhibition a year ago gave us the confidence to start a store.” Yatish, futther adds, “LeTrove believes in experimenting with the metal — matching the taste of new age customers. However, we do have options for traditional silver items.”

The use of semi-precious stones like Rose Quartz, Jade, Lapis and material like Ebony wood make the creations more valuable. Sample a Shiva’s bust in smooth black jade with sleek silver detailing on the face, atop a big chunk of white sparkling stone. We also loved a Ganesha statue in dreamy rose quartz that can make for a great showpiece.

In case you are looking for something without the glitz of stones, you can look for exquisite champagne glasses with geometric texturing or bowl sets with leafy impressions. Their latest collection makes for ideal gifting this wedding season. From small Ganesha statues to artistic lamps and candle holders, these items are a mark of prosperous beginnings. From the lot on display that starts from `650, we loved a candle holder with a coral coloured resin as its base. A pair of diyas (lamps) with floral structure in silver and gold polish is one of their hot sellers.
