Handwoven trousers and reversible jackets anyone? Sourced from Andhra, stitched in Kashmir and made in Brindhavan — Hands of India started by sisters Malyada and Ramya Goverdhan continues to celebrate the art of handcrafting techniques for the eighth year in the city. “If you’re buying a kurta, two sets of artisans are being benefited. One who sources the fabric and the other one who works on it. Most of our customers are all working women.” This year’s theme will be 10 hand-embroidery forms — Phulkari from Punjab, Chikan from UP and Kantha from WestBengal. Sungadi saris from Madurai by artisans from Sowrashtra will be a highlight.
