Shorab Choudhury started with Khan Saheb, which currently has 12 outlets, followed that up with Tall Blonde French, with three kiosks around the city, and has now teamed up with Mumbai-based Amrita Mordani and Bengaluru’s Anthony Denver to set up The Bundle Co, the newest burger joint in the
Central Business District. “My other two ventures are doing well, but I felt that there was a need for good quality burgers at a competitive price point. The few other hugely popular burger outlets I used to frequent, have gone down in quality and I thought, why not fill the gap in the market,” shares Shorab as we settle into one of the three tables at his tiny joint on Church Street. The fuss-free interiors ensure the focus is on what you’ve come for — a good burger that you can return for and recommend to your friends.

Breaking bread
We start with the Peach Moscow Mule and the Coco Mint Punch. Both mocktails, the former makes an impression thanks to a generous dash of grated ginger. Completely indulgent and sinful, the burger titled Straight Up is highly recommended for those who like their alcohol. The lamb patty is topped with  whiskey sauce, blue cheese, and avocado salsa. The bun, made in-house, holds together well and the fresh salsa, flavoursome cheese and the strong sauce make for a winning combination with the perfectly cooked meat. If you’re looking for a vegetarian option that is equally scrumptious, ask for the deceptively named, Simple Simon. The patty is a mix of button and shiitake mushrooms, served with caramelised onions and goats cheese. The perfect balance of flavours and a well-constructed patty, ensures this one hits the spot.

In a nut shell
In addition to their burgers, the menu also includes a selection of pasta and salads. The Wasabi Swim is an interesting choice, though it might not be for everyone. Penne is tossed is a wasabi cream sauce with prawns and basa for a dish that is unique. From the salads, we tuck into the Roasted Walnut Rocket Salad with a citrus vinaigrette dressing. The greens are fresh and crunchy, and the citrusy note goes well with the nuttiness of the rocket and walnuts.

The dessert section, with options such as Baked New York Cheesecake and Nutella Cheesecake offers limited choices and if like us, you visit at the end of the day, you may miss the boat. So make sure you visit a little earlier, if you’d like to end your meal with dessert.

With quick service, high quality ingredients and a fun and easy vibe, The Bundle Co is a must-visit.
