Orka Café in Jubilee Hills has already become a favourite with people who love ordering from menus created around the area of holistic wellness. Launched by Muscat-born Nobin John around a few months ago, the idea behind the outlet was to come up with a place that offers ‘farm to table’ options. Around the same time, the avid fitness enthusiast also unveiled Fix My Nutrition (FMN), which prepares meals tailored to one’s DNA blueprint. “I once weighed around 135 kgs and that came in the way of me becoming a pilot. That’s how the entire motivation to eat clean began,” he says. He found that eating in sync with seasonal produce helped him. And that’s the principle he applied to his city-based outlet. “We use wholesome ingredients to showcase the best of Indian and Western delights,” shares Nobin, who is also a commercial airline pilot.
While the Hyderabadis have been pleasantly surprised by how good their Brown Rice Biryani tasted at Orka, FMN was indeed a breath of fresh air. Here, freshness is the key to taste. However, what’s at work is far more sophisticated than one can imagine. Food is offered to heal and is created to suit one’s genetics. “There is a team of nutritionists that work round the clock with individuals to know their needs, educate them and make them aware of what steps can be taken before designing meal plans to enhance their journey towards their fitness goals. We were pioneers to offer meals plans designed for individuals based on their genetic build-up,” informs Nobin, adding that they are provided with this facility in conjunction with a renowned genetic testing lab in the United Kingdom,” says Nobin, who partnered up with Akash Maurya for this venture.
