Panzanella for your thoughts? This candlelit five-course meal at the Prego will serve up an Italian feast — from Zuppa di cannellini e asparagi (a creamy soup made of asparagus and cannellini beans) and Cannoli Siciliana (Crispy cocoa shells stuffed with creamed ricotta, bitter chocolate and candied fruit). There will be aphrodisiac elements infused in the meal, a bottle of champagne and a live pianist to set the mood. On February 14. 7 pm. Rs 10,000 all inclusive per couple.

Sea of love
Do shell garlands and thatched-roof cottages sound like your cup of tea? Revel in own your private nook by white beach sands and a four-course meal customised to your preferences, cooked right in front of you. Don’t worry about directions. A personal butler will receive you and help you get comfortable. At the Watch Tower, Taj Fisherman’s Cove. Rs 30,000 onwards, plus taxes.

You make miso happy!
ITC Grand Chola has not one but four days of love in store. Enjoy a candlelit dinner with your special someone and share some exotic creations — like a Lobster tortelli, cuttlefish ink, potato and saffron sauce and Mosomi Miso Cured Salmon Usuzukuri (wasabi passion fruit reduction salmon roe). At Madras Pavilion, Ottimo and Pan Asian. February 14 to 17, Rs 3,500 onwards. You can even book a private ‘love table’ at the Champagne Deck at Pan Asian for dinner on February 14. Looking for some red hot lovin’? You might find exactly what you need in Novotel’s V-Day special drink, the Roasted Red Velvet. Made of chilli-infused vodka and sweetened red chilli purée and condensed milk with apple cold press juice for contrast — this promises to be one of the many fun offerings at The Terrace, Novotel Chennai Chamiers Road. 7 pm to midnight. Rs 3,500 ++ per person for a four-course set menu. 

I will never dessert you
Aphrodisiacs extend well past the appetisers on this menu. The Park Chennai’s specially curated dinner, served buffet style, has over 30 of them weaved in through the evening, from salad to dessert. Our personal favourites on the list include cinnamon, red wine and drumsticks!
