Ever fantasised about a pizza binge? Well, if you are a true foodie and can tuck in impressive quantities, then Onesta, the new pizzeria in town, is where you should head to. Besides letting you gorge on an unlimited number of pizzas at a reasonable price, they have options for unlimited pizza, drinks and desserts too.

The Bengaluru-based restaurant’s Chennai branch at Semmencheri can seat 120 people, and is located directly opposite one of the most popular universities in the city. The brainchild of Sona Yadav, the place makes everything in the house from scratch. “All the sauces are prepped the night before and we make every pizza to the order, right from rolling the dough,” says Nitesh Sharma, the head chef of the restaurant.

The restaurant serves standard six-inch pizzas with a few unique twists. Like a Caeser Chicken Salad pizza, for instance, Bacon and Shrimp, Wasabi and Mayo, Caramelised onions and Mushrooms, and Prawn Pesto. For those with a sweet tooth, there’s even a base topped with banana and chocolate.

To break away from the typical margherita poured on top of the base, Onesta uses a basil pesto on their pesto prawn pizza. They are also quite generous with the toppings on each pizza, especially the bacon and shrimp pizza. It’s noteworthy that one can have unlimited pizza by choosing the buffet option.
The story began at a quaint little home that was converted into the first branch at Koramangala, by the owner Sona. “When I started baking pizzas at home, my friends couldn’t stop raving about how it tasted, and that is when one of them suggested that I should find a way for others to taste it too,” describes Sona, about how the idea of Onesta came about.

With seven outlets in Bengaluru and recent ones in Chennai and Manipal, the chain is looking to expand further. We also notice that the restaurant uses a lot of ricotta cheese on their desserts, and that surely makes a difference. With a slight buttermilk kind of taste to it, the ricotta cheesecake stands out.
Onesta plans to open a new branch at Phoenix Market City, Velachery, in a period of six months.

Meal for two priced at Rs 700. Details: 9686473424
