Uber-luxury Palladium mall opens its doors to International brands

It was only two weeks ago when the city witnessed the grand launch of the much-hyped uber-luxury mall, The Palladium at Velachery. International brands opened their doors for the first time in the city and with their latest SS18 line on board, they are all set to create new trends. “Kate Spade and Hunkemoller will open shop by the end of this month. We are also in talks with Ralph Lauren, Tod’s and Longchamp. All the brands that we have collaborated with are first-timers in the city,” says Darshana Balagopal, head of marketing, Palladium mall. We are told that national designers like Anita Dongre and Rohit Bal will soon be on board.

The beach boys
Be it modern business wear or leisure evening party wear, Hugo Boss has got you covered. The 1,231 sq ft store’s latest is Summer of Ease inspired by the beach coastline. True to its name, the silhouettes are breezy in blues and mild shades. Starting out with men’s suits in 1985, the brand has expanded to full-fledged women’s and children’s collection in 2009 and now retails in over 250 stores. Silhouettes are oversized to look laid-back, yet refined. Expect unusual pops of signal red and mustard yellow for flashes of colour. Suits from `66,500.

Made to measure
Since 1934, the Italian-luxury brand Canali has been offering tailor-made men’s suits for more than 80 years now. With the brand present in Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad and globally across 100 countries, the newly-opened store features the latest SS18 collection Impeccable 2.0. The fabric used is breathable and easy on the skin. Comprising suits, blazers and formal pants, the line features a palette that intensifies from dusty cornflower blue to mustard yellow and olive green. Shirts from `25,000.

Glam and grit
Coach’s SS18 line is all about New York grit and glamour with Parker bags being the latest. The bags take inspiration from Coach’s archival designs, featuring a structured silhouette in quilted Nappa leather, finished with hand-placed rivets. The palette is dominated by pink, plum, brown and black. But Americana-Hawaiian and prairie prints are the highlights of the spring line. They also offer fragrances, eyewear and accessories. Founded in 1941, this New York-based artisanal leather house with 75 years of craftsmanship has a global presence in over 55 countries. Bags from `24,000.
