It has been a pretty good year. From Chay - Sam wedding to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, 2017 has given us a lot to be happy for unlike 2016 which pretty much resembled an obit section.
But, what if we were to forget the whole hoopla about Gigi-Zayn, Selena- Bieber and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman for a moment? Here’s what we remember.

Millennial pink
A concept that makes us wonder, as if the world doesn’t have enough reasons to hate millennials. The 47th addition to the long list of pink shades which includes names like New York pink, this millennial inspired palette has managed to ruin our wardrobes and accessories for good. Bring the metallics back, please!

Shape of You
We love Ed Sheeran, but not every hour of every day. Here’s why

Dickinis
Turning heads has become fairly easy this year with unique/innovative designs such as the dickini, currently retailing via an online platform called Dollskill. Brought out by Namilia—a London-based designer label co-founded by Nan Li and Emilia—this phallus-shaped item is already a favourite of several celebrities including rapper Cardi B

Dhinchak Pooja
When her iconic or shall we say ‘singular’ number Selfie Maine Leli Aaj amassed over 23 million hits within days, this youngster did make us think about quitting our corporate jobs for a career in cringe-pop. Here’s to the queen of cringe.

Activated charcoal
If there’s one thing has managed to creep into everything ranging from our ice creams to toothpaste, it’s activated charcoal. Maybe it’s time to honour the substance after all because we feel much better after washing the dirt like stuff off our faces.

Smoothie bowls
Without Instagram, these beautiful little lies won’t survive a day. Sure, they are pretty and we have clicked pictures. Now, can we have our pancakes?

Fidget spinners
Enough has been said about these in the last six months. Fun fact is, over 200 million of this stuff was sold in by February 2017 alone. As to why, we have no clue yet.

Crop tops
Blame Emily Ratajkowski if you want to. But, the sad truth is we can’t pull it off. Moreover, Sankari log won’t agree.

Frozen 2
Pixar’s latest move is what we would call ‘ruining a moment’. Bingo if you wanted to scream over the songs! We feel you.
