The flea market exhibition and sale is back in town this Sunday, with a wide range of products- be it clothes, accessories, items of home décor, shoes, or toys. There will be 50 exhibitors, displaying handloom saris, kurtis, party wear gowns and hand crafted jewellery, along with footwear, skin care products and bed sheets.
‘We have been organising the flea market for the past 3-4 years. We also organise a rakhi exhibition along with wedding trousseau during the month of July-August,” said Neha Verma of Sangini fashion and lifestyle exhibition.
“I like exploring new things and exhibitions are very much in right now. People these days visit stores and exhibitions and buy the products online,” adds Neha Verma, who also heads an advertising and event management agency called Simply Good.
If your weekend is not occupied, then you might as well visit Todi Bhawan at the Tulsi Dham Bangur complex, where you can find many products, which come within a range of Rs 100 and Rs 6,000. “Our target audience is mainly housewives, but college goers can also find a steal-deal with western tops, stylish kurtis and earrings at very reasonable prices,” says Neha.
There will be kanha couture by Kavita Khemka, daily wear kurtis by Samiksha, Pakistani suits from MK Fashion, tunics and gown by Shrisaa Studio, and handloom saris by Ateet. “We have different types of kurtis- in rayon, cotton and linen, which ranges from Rs 350 to Rs 2000. You will also find party wear gowns in muslin for Rs 1300 and Benarasi skirts for Rs 1500,” says Samiksha Upadhyay, one of the exhibitors. In addition, there will be bags, jholas, jutis, fancy envelopes used in weddings and funky footwear from a number of indigenous manufacturers and herbal skincare products made by an Indian brand called Kiyara.
A special stall with Kitchen chimneys and CCTV cameras, will be there too, for those who would like to buy it for their home or office. While there will be an on-the-spot demo of the CCTV cameras, the installation will be free of cost for the buyers.
But if it’s food that interests you then do visit the stall by London Shakes, which will be offering milkshakes and London Beer with zero percent alcohol, along with nachos, chocolate pineapple sandwich, masala lemon and cheesy wafers. There will be a tarot and crystal ball reader too, called Vidushi for those who would like to hear some future predictions about their life.
The flea market exhibition and sale opens at Todi Bhawan, Tulsi Dham Bangur complex on March 10, 11 am
