BMW Motorrad has launched the stunning new BMW R nineT Racer in India. The bike draws its inspiration from the legendary superbikes of the ’70s and takes retro styling to a whole new level with its short half-fairing, single seat, low slung handlebars, and high set footrests. Add to that, the white bodywork and aluminium silver frame along with the brand’s motorsport colours lend the vehicle a distinct appeal.

Properly conceived
The bike comes with the latest of modern motorcycling technology which includes an onboard computer that provides key information to the rider on a segmented screen. This includes vital information such as the active gear, remaining range, trip distance, average speed, fuel consumption, and the service interval. Powering this beastly steed is an air/oil-cooled 1,170 boxer engine that churns out 110 hp of power and is coupled to a six-speed transmission.

The refined engine is said to offer a riding experience that is second to none with the power delivery offered in a smooth linear manner. The brand has also fitted the exhaust system with an electric servomotor and an acoustic valve that delivers that quintessential boxer sound.

The bike is touted to be an extremely easy motorcycle to ride. It comes with a high level of directional stability thanks to the way the suspension is set up and to ensure you have maximum control. It also comes with ABS and automatic stability control (ASC) as standard. Available at an ex-showroom price of `17,30,000, the BMW R nineT Racer has been brought into India as a CBU.
