The Ninja series of motorcycles are a brand in themselves and have earned a place amongst enthusiasts as the ultimate performance bikes. The latest iteration of the Ninja 1000 lives up to those standards as it is touted to offer an even smoother power  delivery and better handling than its predecessor. Over and above that, the manufacturer claims that the new motorcycle delivers better riding comfort and the new technology on board also enhances its overall performance.

Edgy design
Created to resemble the Ninja Super Sports models, this motorcycle comes with a sharper front cowl, new LED head lights that provide better lighting and stylish new bodywork. The two piece fairings are wider and the bike also comes fitted with a hand adjustable double-bubble windshield which is taller than what was available on the earlier model and thus provides better wind protection. It also comes with a revised instrument console that has a large analogue tachometer, gear indicator and multifunctional LCD screen and warning lamps.

On the road
Powering the third generation Ninja is a 1043 cc four-stroke in line four-cylinder engine that has been tweaked to meet Euro 4 emission norms. The engine churns out a massive 140 bhp at 10,000 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 111 Nm at 7,300 rpm. The revised ECU allows for all that power to be seamlessly delivered in a smooth manner facilitating better control and thus increasing rider confidence. The engine is mated to a slick six-speed gearbox and it goes without saying that this bike can accelerate to three digit speeds in a blink of an eye!

Enhanced performance
The 2017 edition of this bike comes with a load of new tech in order to benefit the rider. This includes the Kawasaki Cornering Management Function, Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit, Kawasaki Traction Control and Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-Lock Brake System. These systems ensure that the rider has complete control at all times and can enjoy a safe-yet-engaging riding experience.

Pricing it right
In order to price the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 aggressively, the bike has been brought in as a semi-knocked down (SKD) unit and is assembled here in India. Thanks to that the bike can be yours for `9.98 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
